I know I keep telling you that I will open for commissions soon, but unfortunately there has been a delay because my tablet just broke.


I've contacted Wacom, and they're going to fix it because (thankfully) it's still under warranty. However, it may be a while before I finally can draw digitally again, and therefore, commissions are kind of on hold for now.

Sniff...so sad...

Would you buy one? How much would you pay for one? What would you want me to draw? How long would you be willing to wait?

Hey guys! It's been like, six months since my last journal entry, so I sort of feel obligated to write another one...



Brief update on my life:
I just bought a baby BEARDED DRAGON. I named him Hyperion after a publishing company I like.  He's the cutest thing in the world, only about as long as my thumb and super curious. He sleeps like a rock though. The first night I had him I thought he was dead. Anyway, he was expensive, and I spent almost half my life savings on him (which was only $200 anyway) so I'm in need of a source of income.

Soo.....

Here's the announcement: I will soon be accepting commissions!

Right now my dad and I are opening up a paypal account, and as soon as that's done, I'll release the official info.

I'm sure you all were wondering with great anticipation and impatience for the day I write another journal entry [sarcasm] so, without further ado, here it is!

So, I'm writing this from my brand spankin' new school laptop. It's technically my laptop, because my school has an awesome program where students can buy laptops for super discounted prices and keep them after they graduate...but that's beside the point. The point is, now that I have my own computer, I can now SPAM YOUR INBOXES WITH ART AND JOURNAL ENTRIES!!! MWAHAHA!!!

Seriously though, I'll finally be able to upload some stuff for anyone who wants to see it...

Quick update on my life: I've started another year of highschool, but this year I'm going to a science and research charter school. So far I LOVE it. I'm writing a novel for English, doing a geology project for Science, working on a school newsletter, and I've got ideas for much more this year. I think I'm learning a lot more this way, plus it's a lot more fun. It's kind of weird socializing on a daily basis though...

So, since I'm working on my novel(s), you guys can expect a lot of new story art. I've also been wanting to do a graphic novel for a while now, so if/when I get any of that done, I'll upload it too. Other than that, I'll probably just upload random stuff like fanart or fursona scribbles.

So....School is miserable.

I've kind of gone into survival mode, hence the general lack of creativity going on under my skull. I probably won't be uploading any new NEW art until I'm actually done with finals. In fact, I won't be on DeviantArt much at all. Or Facebook. Or Chickensmoothie. Or any of the other sites you may know me from. *sigh* I've just got way too much to do. I have a whole unit of history that's due tomorrow, two math lessons that are due today, plus a TON of Spanish to get through before next week. Not to mention English or Anatomy.

....and on top of it all, I'm sick. Again. My nose is clogged, my chest is congested, my throat is sore, and I think there's some gland or something in my throat that's swelling...


...So, I just wanted to update anyone who reads this (besides you, Flax) and tell you all that I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, I'm just really busy. I'll be back sooner or later (...probably later)

I have decided to write shorter journal entries from now on, for a couple of reasons. 1: I don't want to bore my sweet little invisible audience to death. 2: I don't have time to write five paragraphs of my life every time. 3: The random events of my life are utterly irrelevant to my art. So. Back to square one, I have no idea what to say.

     Hmmm...I could tell you about my story...

     I'm working on it again, now that it's finally raining. (It's so much more fun to write when the weather's yucky) I'm trying to get some plot inspiration while at the same time develop my characters and the setting and write the beginning. It's not going super well. I think I should just work on one thing at a time. Problem is, I feel like I can't write if I don't have a plot, and I feel like I need a solid setting to help inspire the plot, and when I work on the setting, it makes me want to write.

     Also, I am super excited about Flax's Harry Potter fanfiction (mostly 'cuz I get to be in it XD) I'm really curious about how she'll make my character act... I hope I get to be in on the action, though in real life, I usually just stand by and watch events unfold. :/ I'd make a terrible protagonist, lol. I've always wondered what my life would be like as a movie, and I decided a long time ago that I would not be the favorite character. My friends are so interesting, hilarious and unique, I often think they'd make amazing OC's. I'd just be a Mary Sue XD.

     I had a good Easter weekend, better than usual, actually. For some reason, I felt closer to God and the real meaning of Easter. Maybe it was because I went to the local passion play, maybe it was because I really opened my heart to it or maybe it was because I realized the importance of forgiveness. Whatever it was, it was pretty awesome. Most years I feel guilty getting Easter baskets and chocolate because I feel I should be focusing more on God, but this year, I had a great experience with God, and *bing* I had no guilt.

    Well, That's all I can think to say. Congratulations to anyone who read through the entire thing, you should get a prize. Anyway, I'd better go as I have to pee and do my homework. (Not at the same time...)

     Oh, now that lent is over I can listen to secular music again! Hooray! If you haven't heard 'Young Forever' by the ready set, look it up right now on youtube. It's an awesome song. ^-^ Also, Sarah Reeves does an amazing rendition of 'Lamb of God'

Hello again, invisible audience.

The past few weeks have been pretty exciting for me, and seeing as I have nothing better to do, I guess I'll tell you about it. The monotony of my normal life came to an abrupt halt last Friday when my BFF, Flaxblossom had her epic 16th b-day sleepover party. It was a small party, just me, Flax and two other girls, but it was amazingly fun. For her present, I decided to break the trend of comics starring our fursonas and RP characters, so I made a plushie of her fursona. i think it came out quite well, considering it was my first time sewing something from my own pattern.

The excitement didn't end after the party was over, however. My dad picked me up that evening and my family went to Olive Garden, and then we saw that new movie Rango. (epic movie, though it's fairly violent and contains a surprising amount of language...) My dad was going out of town for business and wouldn't be back for two weeks, so we seized the opportunity to spend time as a family. Dad got to drive his shiny new rental car all over town, and I'm pretty sure he was speeding almost the entire time. XD  

Since my dad left, he's been calling every day to check in with us, but it's really not the same as having him around. Suppers are really quiet and the weekends have been pretty lonely. The only thing I don't really miss is being splashed with water in the mornings when I sleep in too late.

Spring has come to Wisconsin! Well...kinda...not really....ok, it's still pretty snowy, but we're getting close! Last week we got a really bizarre snowstorm. There was thunder and lightening at midnight, so of course my mom, my sister and I made a snowman. (Yes, at midnight) He had a gaping mouth, terrified eyes and a sign that read "Spring is coming! The end is near!" The local newspaper came the next morning and took a picture of it. Shortly thereafter, someone stole his sign. > My neighborhood is full of jerks.

On a lighter note, I got accepted into a local charter school, which is a huge answer to prayer. Although being able to attend my online school is a huge blessing, it's not such a good fit for me anymore. It's all deadlines and memorizing facts, and really not much learning at all. Wildlands, the name of the charter school, is a very hands-on project-based school. It's a lot like homeschooling, except it's at a facility with other people and resources. A lot of the work is independent, which is pretty much how I roll. There are also a lot of physical activities at Wildlands like skiing and snowshoeing, which should help me burn off some energy when I need to, so that'll be nice.

Sooo...I think that's all the excitement I've had... Oh wait, there's one thing that hasn't happened yet: My 16th Birthday! I can't believe I forgot about that! So, about that, I'm not sure whether I should be excited or nervous. I still have no idea what to do for a party... I'm thinking I'll have a family party with all my aunts and uncles and cousins, and a friend party with all my Bffs. :3 The only problem is that not all my Bffs like each other.... :/ This could prove to be a problem... Also, one of my newer friends shares a birthweek with me, so we're thinking of combining parties since her family's in the process of moving. We go to the same homeschool choir, so we have a lot of the same friends, which is pretty convenient. I'm thinking that just might work...

Anyway, not that much has happened since my last journal entry. My Dad just got the promotion we've been praying for years for, and we all took a trip to Springfield Illinois to meet his new boss. My sister became a teenager while we were there, and my parents celebrated their 18th anniversary. We ate at one of those epic Japanese restaurants where they grill your food right in front of your nose, visited a few museums, and I bought my first real quill pen. It was pretty exciting. I'm back home now, and am realizing how much homework I now have to make up. *sigh* I guess there's no such thing as a stress-free vacation.

I mentioned last time that I was finally getting over this stupid cold. Well, I lied. I'm sick again, or I never got better, I'm not sure. This time though, it's just a cough, and a stuffy nose. Much better than what I had before... All the coughing and nose blowing makes for a terrible night's sleep, so I'm pretty dead tired today. And of course, lack of sleep won't do much for my immunity...

Aside from the stress, the lack of sleep and the persistent sickness, A few good things have happened. I got to dissect a pig heart yesterday and it was EPIC. So many cool valves and things to stick my fingers through! Woohoo! (Flaxblossom was jealous when she found out....XD) I got some really cool pictures...now I just have to label them.

Tonight we had kind of a meet and greet thing with our potential new high school youth pastor. He's pretty cool, I like him. I babysat his son just this morning for children's church...Poor little guy, he was so tired, he fell asleep in my lap. Toddlers are so cute. <3

So...I'm still reading The Day Boy and the Night Girl. It's not all that exciting yet. I guess I should keep reading...I haven't had much time to do anything lately, though, and reading is usually the first thing I drop when things get busy. :/ Sigh....I hate school. Sometimes I feel like I'm not learning anything, I'm just memorizing facts and spitting them out on the quiz. For instance, I don't remember anything from my first unit in Anatomy. Or my second. Or my third. My brain deemed that information unuseful, and dumped it out a long time ago. Now it seems like a huge waste of time...

Well, I don't really have anything else to say...I suspect my brain is going on strike...I don't expect it to be back until I offer it more sleep and a shorter work day. Hopefully my grades will start to improve then...

Here is my first REAL journal entry...and I have no idea what to write, as I have no idea who's reading these, (if anybody. . .) What do you say to a bunch of people you don't even know exist? o.O I've never written anything for an invisible audience. . . hey. . . that has a nice ring to it. . .

Well, invisible audience, I'm totally new to DeviantArt, and I'm still just learning how to do simple things like favorite art and write journals. (Oh, and I hate to be a noob, but could anyone tell me how to put picture as my icon? Thanks.) It always takes me a while to learn to navigate a new site, especially one as complex as DeviantArt! o.O I'll try my best not to ask dumb questions though, I know how annoying that is.

In other news, I've started a new book. My smallgroup leader suggested it to me after stalking my facebook and discovering how much I liked 'The Goosegirl'. I'm now reading 'The Romance of Photogen and Nycteris' better known as 'The Day Boy and the Night Girl'. So far I love it. I really like George MacDonald's stories, although I've only read a few. My family is really into good literature and when my sister and I were little my dad read us classics like 'The Hobbit' for bedtime stories. Good times. I'm planning on reading 'The Light Princess' next, or maybe I'll pick up 'The Hobbit' again. I wonder how this will influence my writing style. . .

Speaking of my story, it's progressing. . . slowly. I recently realized how weak the plot is, so I'll have to work on that some more. . . it's so hard not be be cliché! >.< I went through a little patch of great writing, which usually succeeds my reading of a Shannon Hale book. I'm not sure why, but her style of writing really inspires me. But when I try to ignore that inspiration, it drives me crazy. My mind will narrate everything, which can be cool, but it gets annoying. I create characters left and right, and my dreams start to have cool plots. As Shannon herself put it, "I think becoming a writer is more of a mental illness than a professional choice." If that's true, I'm totally cut out for writing. 8D

Oh, my health has finally improved. I've been sick with a stupid cold for almost three weeks. I'm pretty sure I experienced every symptom it could throw at me: sore throat, cough, chills, stuffy nose, runny nose, an utter lack of voice. Even my ears clogged up, and I think I burst my eardrums from blowing my nose too hard. I still have a shadow of a cough that keeps pressing at the back of my throat, but I'm feeling normal aside from that, which is a huge relief.

So, invisible audience, that's all I'll bore you with for now. I could ramble about Irish stepdancing, why I hate Valentine's Day, or why my profile picture on facebook is of a bowl of oatmeal, but I think I'd better stop now. I've got stuff to do, and I'm guessing your time could be spent better as well. A final question I'll leave you with: IS THERE A QUALITY PAINTING APP FOR THE IPAD??? I can't find one anywhere. . .

Oh, btw, "The Tourist" was a really good movie, and I highly recommend it. It had a great plot, and a surprising ending. I loved it.
